"Hopscotch" throw size, 2012

I really liked this pattern and thought it would work well with these colors.  The top picture showed how I almost put it together wrong.  Luckily I figured it out before I got very far and had to unsew several blocks.  The second picture shows how it's supposed to look to give the overall pattern to the quilt.  There is a program nationwide called QOV, or  Quilts of Valor.  Quilts are made and given to men and women who have served in the armed forces, and usually are red, white and blue.   You can take them to the quilt show in SLC and put them in a bin there.  At the show,  you can see men in camo, with their families walking around proudly with their own quilt.  Fun!!
