I finished this quilt early in 2012, but had been working on it for about a year. I found the pattern in Fons and Porter quilt magazine. I had the muslin fabric squares and embroidered the pattern I found in the magazine. It took some time, but was a fun thing to do. I even worked on some squares as I sat at the windy beach at Cap May the summer before. Sonya said the star looks Norwegian slightly and Jill said it looked Jewish to her. Found the perfect yellow swirly fabric for the border. I really love this quilt. No one to give it too, it's just here.
