I went over to St George for a quilt show and a class in fabric dying, and to stay a couple days with my friend Sandra. These are three of the fabrics I made. The top was dyed in a plastic bag, left to dry, then stamped with the red. The second was dyed with shaving cream, the dye combed through the cream and fabric laid on top. The bottom was dyed in crushed ice - crumple fabric and put in a plastic bucket, layer crushed ice over then sprinkle dye powder over that. As the ice melts, it disperses the dye in a surprising pattern.
