Small Quilt for Kids in Crisis, May 2012
This quilt is called a "split 9-patch". a fun and easy quilt to make that looks complicated. You make up enough 9-patch blocks, then cut each one, horizontally and vertically through the center. When you turn each square once, then sew the pieces back together, you get this complicated pattern. I used a sheet from my linen closet for the backing. In town, we have a program called "Kids in Crisis", children going into foster care. They get a duffle full of special things including a quilt if there are ones available. I've made quite a few quilts for this program such as this one.
