2 Afgans, from Jill, 1990 's

Yes Jill is the oddball.  She tells me she just doesn't like to sew.  But she does wonderful and beautiful crochet.  This afgan I have in my front room.  The strip is granny squares, and the other strip was crocheted and the design then embroidered on.  It is truly a masterpiece and I'm glad Jill has let me display it in my house.

Twin Size, From Val, 2000

Val made two of these quilts.  I'm not sure who she made them for.  Apparently my girls inherited my passion, (and talent, of course) for quilts.  It is a really pretty quilt, and well done.

Queen Size, Purple Stars, 2000 (?)

Tina made this star quilt from a whole range of purples.  I can see fabric in there that I still have pieces of.  The centers are different black fabrics and the sashing is dark green.  It is hand quilted and really impressive.  It's on the guest bed in her new house.

Throw Size, from Tina, 2000

This is Tina holding up the quilt she made for people she baby sat for.  Really pretty quilt, in an (almost) Amish style.  Amish would not have had the flowered fabric in the middle.  Look at the hand quilting.  Lot of work.

Crib Size, Multiple 9-Patch, from Sonya

Somehow Sonya came up with the idea of putting these kinds of 9patches together and I've made several like this since.  I like the wild color play.  She made it for someone, don't know who.

Queen Sized, From Sonya, 2000

This quilt is a little bleached out by the flash which is too bad.  It is really pretty and I think you can see the pattern.  Sonya made this for her friend Muffy, and obviously hand quilted.  This is in our family room in Maplewood.

Lap Size, "Spinning Stars" in Blue and Yellow, from Sonya, 1998

This is a really pretty quilt Sonya made.  I'm not sure who she made it for.  It seems like a rather complicated piecing, and it looks very well done.  Hanging in our Maplewood back yard, trash cans and all. (sorry)
